HANOI, October 5, 2022 - DataStax, the real-time data company, has partnered with Swinburne Vietnam to help develop data and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) curriculum, training and certification modules to cultivate Vietnam's burgeoning tech talents. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is expected to take place on the 6th of October.

The modules will equip students of Swinburne Vietnam with in-demand knowledge and skills relating to computer systems, web development, big data management, programming, and emerging technologies. The partnership aims to enhance the country's ICT and big data ecosystem and advance the skills and employability of the future ICT workforce.

The joint academic program will include workshops, training courses, hackathons, and internship programs that are created by DataStax. At the same time, the university will issue DataStax certifications and expose students to DataStax's solutions that will equip them for ICT-related careers.

"The partnership will provide an excellent springboard for Vietnamese students to become the driving force of Vietnam's digitization initiatives," said Dr Hoang Viet Ha - director of Swinburne Vietnam. "With more and more economic sectors embracing digital technology, Vietnam is in a unique position to create a strong digital footprint that will advance our nation towards Industry 4.0."
