Bio

Dilip Venkatachari joined U.S. Bank in 2018 as the Digital Delivery Chief Information Officer. In his current role, Dilip leads a team accountable for delivering the company’s digital capabilities to market quickly and responsibly, focusing on consumer and business banking,  payment services, wealth management and investment services, and corporate and commercial banking.

Dilip has a long track record of successfully leading technology-based teams to deliver high-impact, web-scale solutions and build technology and data-driven businesses, particularly in banking and payments. Dilip most recently worked at McKinsey Digital Labs, where he helped banks accelerate their digital transformations by delivering key technology initiatives. Prior to that, Dilip held senior executive roles at Google (responsible for Mobile Ads and Wallet/Checkout payments products) and PayPal/eBay (responsible for Risk, Fraud, Compliance, and Payment Services; served on the Board of PayPal Europe). Dilip also co-founded and led multiple startup companies: Compass Labs, CashEdge and CommerceSoft. 

Dilip holds a master’s of business administration degree from Harvard Business School, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University and Indian Institute of Technology, respectively. Dilip also holds more than a dozen U.S. patents. His inventions are in the fields of analytics, financial transactions and risk management, mobile, customer interaction technologies, and digital marketing.
