Day 2 Closing Keynote

In the information age, data is the new currency and access to it is power. With battle cries such as “Information wants to be free” and “Hack the planet”, Hackers have risen to infamy. But can we learn anything about innovation from them? The surprising fact is that hacking can, and often does, spur innovation. It exposes vulnerabilities and forces technologies to evolve, and consumers to demand something better. Hacking can often supply innovations, improve products, and demonstrates what is possible and how consumers want to use their technology.

This talk from Keren Elazari, Cyber Security Analyst, Author & Researcher, will show how companies and organizations that once fought hackers, can now invite them to collaborate – and how more and more people can embrace the creative aspects of hacker culture.
