Open globally to recipients who are 18 years or older, subject to applicable shipping and handling restrictions.  Employees, interns, and contractors of DataStax and its affiliated companies and immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Contest.

Receiving Item: Items to be shipped approximately 30 days after the end of the Contest Period.  Each attendee will receive a signed Cassandra Forward T-shirt (while supplies last). The total ARV of the item offered in this Contest is estimated at $20. The promotional items  carry no warranty of any kind.

(i) register to attend an in-person Cassandra Forward session, (ii) attend such session in-person for its entirety, and (iii) visit the Cassandra Forward store and fill out shipping information and other required details (provided at time of event). Entrants will need to enter a promotional code given during the event in the chat feature. Each participant will provide a size and designated shipping address for delivery. One entry per person.

 

Decisions by DataStax are final in all respects and not subject to appeal. DataStax reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it believes has violated these Official Rules, including, in its sole discretion, if DataStax determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the giveaway by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

By participating in the promotional giveaway, you agree and consent to use of your name, social media profile and/or likeness by DataStax. Your entry may also be used for press and media purposes, and you agree to waive any rights and not assert any intellectual property rights that you may have in your entry.

 

Release and Limitation of Liability: DATASTAX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES OR CAUSES OF ACTION OR ANY COSTS OR EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO THE CONTEST, THE ENTRY, OR ANY PRIZE.  BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, YOU HEREBY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE THE DATASTAX ENTITIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF EVERY KIND AND NATURE, IN LAW, EQUITY OR OTHERWISE, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, SUSPECTED AND UNSUSPECTED, DISCLOSED AND UNDISCLOSED, AND IN PARTICULAR ANY FROM ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF EVERY KIND AND NATURE FOR DAMAGES, DIRECT AND INDIRECT, ACTUAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY RELATING THE CONTEST, THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST, THE USE OF THE ENTRY, ANY PRIZE AWARDED, THE USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, AND ANY PUBLICITY, ADVERTISING OR CONTEST RELATING TO THE CONTEST AND/OR THE PRIZE, AND/OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, AND YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS DATASTAX FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, COSTS, LIABILITIES AND DAMAGES RELATED TO OR ARISING OUT OF: (A) THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THESE RELEASES, (B) YOUR LICENSES TO DATASTAX, YOUR WAIVER OF RIGHTS, AND YOUR WARRANTIES REGARDING YOUR ENTRY, AND (C) YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST.

 

All issues and questions concerning the Contest, shall be governed by the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
