Lord of the Rings Talk at Accelerate
I am beyond excited for DataStax Accelerate!
I’ve been to many of the Cassandra Summits in the past and one of the many things I’ve found extremely valuable are the talks from developers and operators, just like you and I, that share their best practices and experiences. It’s a great place to ask questions, validate your thoughts and ideas, and collaborate with engineers trying to solve complex distributed data problems. There’s no shortage of awesome talks from companies such as Apple, Netflix, Facebook, Yelp, Deloitte, Capital One, Walgreens, and T-Mobile.
One of the presentations that I am especially excited for is “How to Become the Lord of the Rings” by Sean Durity at The Home Depot. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting Sean in person before but I’m very familiar with his name as he’s a dedicated member of the Apache Cassandra community. You can find him responding to questions and helping users all over the different mailing lists and message boards. Sean’s talk focuses on his experience and strategy for administering Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise at scale for many years. This includes things such as zero-downtime upgrades, developer training, monitoring, and much more. Knowing how deep Sean’s knowledge goes, this is definitely a talk you won't want to miss.
This is just a taste of the kind of talks and expertise you can find at DataStax Accelerate, and I can’t wait to meet all of the amazing developers, operators, and community at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland, May 21-23. Time is ticking so make sure you get registered today!
