Positive employee feedback garners DataStax honors for Best Company Outlook, Best Company to Work for in the Bay Area and Best HR Team
On March 31, 2022
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – March 31, 2022 – DataStax, the real-time data company, today announced that it is the recipient of three Comparably Awards, including Best Company Outlook, Best Company to Work for in the Bay Area and Best HR Team. The awards demonstrate DataStax’s commitment to fostering a positive workplace for all and are based on anonymous employee feedback submitted to Comparably from March, 2021 through March, 2022.
Each award is a testament to strong employee sentiments around DataStax’s exceptional culture and team. The criteria for each are as follows:
- Best Company Outlook: Measures how confident employees feel about the future success of their company, how likely they are to recommend working there to a friend (eNPS – employee Net Promoter Score), and how excited they are to go to work.
- Best Company to Work for in the Bay Area: Measures how employees in the Bay Area rate their overall workplace experiences in 16 different metrics (compensation, leadership, co-workers, work- life balance, career growth, perks & benefits, etc).
- Best HR Team: Measures how employees from specific departments rate their workplace experiences in 16 different metrics (compensation, leadership, co-workers, work-life balance, career growth, perks & benefits, etc).
DataStax’s three wins were determined from a final data set compiled from over 15 million ratings across 70,000 companies.
“Based on the company’s A + culture score, DataStax employees clearly see the company as a great place to work and are excited about its future,” said Jason Nazar, CEO of Comparably.
Recent data shows that employees are 400% more likely to be engaged when they align with their company’s values. DataStax employees helped the company achieve over 400% YoY growth of Astra DB, winner of this year’s Data Breakthrough Award, and win the esteemed Northface ScoreBoard Award for stellar customer service.
DataStax places four core values at the forefront of every decision made: Obsess over developers and enterprises, be an owner, execute thoughtfully with speed, and cultivate diversity and inclusion. Comparably’s recognition highlights how deeply these principles are enmeshed in DataStax’s culture.
“We’ve worked really hard to build an awesome culture and experience at DataStax. It starts with being mission-oriented. We are all committed to striving toward something larger than ourselves – serving real-time applications with an open data stack that just works. And we do this by living our values every day, during every project, and in every interaction. I am really proud of the culture we’ve created together and grateful to every DataStax employee who is contributing to our journey,” said Chet Kapoor, CEO of DataStax.
