John Rae-Grant started his career with ten years building and then leading developer tools (Visual C++) and developer relations (MSDN) at Microsoft. Between the two, John alternated between talking the talk (consulting) and walking the walk (being an entrepreneur and internal leader) of software leadership, including taking a company from a startup through IPO as co-founder and CTO. Prior to DataStax, John spent six years at Google as a product leader for Gmail, Google Play Services, and Google Cloud's Developer Tools. John holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Yale University.
