Modern Slavery Act Statement

We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. DataStax has a zero-tolerance approach to Modern Slavery and we are committed to acting ethically, transparently and with integrity in all of our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure Modern Slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
Organization's Structure
We are a global provider of software and software services in the technology sector. We are the parent company of the Datastax group of companies (Group). The Group has over 600 employees worldwide and operates in 19 countries.
The Group has a global turnover which meets the requirements of a Company required to publish an MSA Statement.
Our Business
Our business is as an experienced partner in on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployments and we offer a suite of distributed data management products and cloud services. We make it easy for enterprises to deliver killer apps that crush the competition. We operate within offices around the world.
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains. We operate a number of policies and procedures to ensure that suppliers within our supply chain comply with applicable laws. All such policies apply to employees and individuals engaged on a temporary basis.
Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have in place systems to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Protect whistle-blowers.
Supplier Adherence to Our Values
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have in place a supply chain compliance programme. This consists of: Supplier due diligence procedure.
We have a dedicated compliance team, which consists of involvement from the following departments:
- Legal
- Finance
- Human resources
Further Steps
Following a review of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains we intend to take the following further steps to combat slavery and human trafficking: continue our existing programme and encourage employees to be vigilant and report any concerns via our internal reporting system.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group's slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 2024.
